Dear Friends; I have received the following question from one of the participants in my private chat;
“For some time now I like to sit in the dark in the evenings, alone. The light of the TV is enough for me. I like to look out from the window opposite to me at the shadows of the trees or people passing by in the dimly lighted street. I don’t think I am depressed, it is just I find it more peaceful, quieter, and my brain slows down a bit. It more comfortable than a rightful room.”

The reply of Josephine Bila:
This does not sound like depression. Instead, this sounds like someone who enjoys peace and solitude. More and more people are longing for quiet spaces due to all of the chaos happening in the news, coupled with the extreme stimulation of our hyper-connected culture. So, by all means, enjoy the tranquillity you receive from disconnecting for a while.
